Anna collect keys to her 2nd buy-to-let property!

This is a great time to buy-to-let and Anna Wolfe has experienced just that, she has now successfully completed the purchase of her second buy-to-let investment property.

Anna became a client of Propertyrush in 2009 and we helped her acquire her first buy-to-let property close to Peterborough City centre for £84,000 with a buy-to-let mortgage and deposit. It is 4-bed townhouse with a basement that had previously been sold for £158,000 in 2005. Effectivally we had found her a property that was 45% below its previous sale price.

Refurbs don't have to be extensive or costly

We advise our clients like Andrew Gilbert to take a balanced view with refurbs, in some cases paying a bit more for a property saves you money.

Instead of paying out £7,000 on a refurb, paying £7,000 more for a fairly tidy property means that 75% (£5,250) of the extra you pay in purchase price is funded by mortgage money and paid for out of the rent, rather than £5,250 of your own cash.

Joe and Karen Gordon invited some friends along to celedrate the completion of their third buy-to-let refurb that was rented out the next day.

It was a privilege to see Local Entrepreneur and Secret Millionaire Mike Greene talk passionatly about his work as an Ambassador for Localgiving.com first at Opportunity Peterborough's Bondholder Breakfast on the 19th January 2012 held at the Exec Peterborough, East of England Showground.

Mike met people in Peterborough supporting their communities whilst filming Channel 4's Secret Millionaire in Peterborough, often these people work for little or no material reward, instead benefiting from a sense of achievement and a feeling of well-being that they get whilst giving something back to their local communities.
